We recently returned from a 10 day French Polynesia cruise and wanted to express our impression of the entertainment on board. We were pleasantly surprised by the entertainment on board and the nightly entertainment is definitely worth staying up for.

Siglo, the ship's band was amazing and we were shocked that we had not read about them online prior to our trip. These are 4 very talented young men who really added to the enjoyment of our cruise. The guitarist, Randy, is one of the best guitar players we have ever seen. It is apparent that he truly loves the guitar and playing rock n roll. The drummer, Jun, Adrian on keyboards, and Don on bass were also exceptional musicians who compliment each other very well and play a great variety of music. Don't be shy with your requests since this band was able to play just about anything we asked including Gun's and Roses, Metallica, Stray Cat's, Pink Floyd and their "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd blew everyone in the bar away, young and old! Try to see them whenever you can while on board.

Verity Brown, the Social Hostess/Singer was very charming and a delight to speak with as well as being a wonderful and talented singer. She loves when you sit in the front row. Tell her John sent you :).

The Polynesian dancers, Les Gauguines, and the entertainers from the different ports that came on board were very entertaining especially the Children of Raiatea.

Hal the piano player was great as well and don't miss "name that tune" or his Elton John show. We also thought that the Cruise Director, Dionne Lochner, was expectional.

You really had the best of the PG entertainment. You may not have read about Siglo because they are off and on the PG. Just when it seems like they are gone forever, they come back. They are certainly wonderful.

Members of Les Gauguines change constantly, however, are always entertaining. The same is true of the Children of Raiatea -- the children are delightful.

Hopefully, these talented groups and children will still be on board next year when Regent is no longer managing the ship.

Thank you for sharing the information:)

Siglo have been mentioned many times on this board over the years. They are outstanding. I had the misfortune of missing them on my last (4th) trip on board. Hal Fraser is also wonderful, I've had him on a couple of cruise. Glad you enjoyed the entertainment! The Gauguines are always wonderful.

We agree completely!!
We make sure that Siglo is on board or we won't go! Hal is also great! We have developed great relationships with the entertainers. The Gauguines are alot of fun and how could you not like the kids?

We are a week away from enjoying them all again:D
