For those of us who just don't enjoy drinking plain, bottled water and who are tired of lugging their own supply of assorted drinks on-board, I came across a possible solution: Crystal Light On the Go!

These are little tubular foil packets of Crystal Lite powdered mix that are designed to be used in 20 oz water bottles-voila! Instant flavored water!

They come in 3 flavors: lemonade, raspberry and peach ice tea and only 5 calories per packet.

So far, they are not available in stores, but I did a Google search for "Crystal Light On The Go" and found several places on the web that sell them either by the box (30 packets in a box) or by the case (4 boxes to the case).

No more lugging water/soft drinks for us! Just thought I would share this with you all! :)

Didn't that used to be called Kool-Aid?

They are available here in Publix, as I have purchased some.:)

I thought they were a little strong, but a good alternative.

That's a good thing to know. Thanks, Bill.

Now, when will they offer powdered Jack Daniels in foil packets? :D

They have the "on the go" packets in the stores here in Ohio. Years ago, they used to offer these packets as a rebate for sending in foil box tops at Crystal lite, I used them a lot when travelling in Europe about 10 years ago.....jean

Live in Hilliard, what store or stores did you find them? Getting ready to end holiday boxes out to our troops in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan and those packs would be a welcomed gift for them.

Hi Diane, I live SE of Columbus but bought them in Krogers in New Albany where my daughter lives. I think Kroger had them in last weeks flyer...hope you find them, it will be great for our troops. Thank you for that, as mother to two sons on active duty, I can tell you they will appreciate it.....jean

Wow! I will have to keep checking the stores out here-have not been able to find them in Vons or Albertson's. Thanks for the feedback!

I saw them in the airport in Boston when we flew to Ireland last month. I didn't get one, because the store didn't have 20 oz bottles of water. They had either 16 oz. or 32 oz. It would have been too strong for the 16 oz. bottle and too weak for the 32 oz.!!
But I thought it was an excellent idea. I buy the bottles of Crystal Light in Wal-Mart to take to work with me in the summer.
I really like it, and it's easier than bringing a thermos with me.

I went hunting for them again at Vons this morning and found them! But, wow, very expensive-a box of 14 was $4.95. On the internet, through wholesalers, they have 30 packets to a box for the same price! But, at least I know that I can get them at the last minute if needed at our local grocery store. Thanks again to everyone for the feedback about availablity in stores!
