Can Anyone Tell Me How Much A Soda Card Is? Also What Is The Price Of An Internet Package? Is It Much Less If You Bring Your Own Laptop? I Am Staying In A Suite For The First Time, Does The $10 Pp Charge Cover The Butler Or Is There An Additional Charge For The Butler? Is There Anyone Else I Should Be Tipping? I Would Appreciate Any Information You Can Give Me. Thank You In Advance.

I can't answer most of your questions, but I have never heard of a butler on HAL. Anyone else?

HAL doesn't have butlers like some cruise lines do.

Don't know the price of a soda card. Never bought one.

HAL does not have butler service. You do have the use of a concierge in the Neptune Lounge. She/He will be able to take care of anything for you - booking shore excursions - booking the Pinnacl Grill - taking care of your charge card - making change - you name - it will be done for you.

Internet fees: 250 minutes - $100; 100 minutes - $55; pay as you go - $0.75 per minute; activation fee - $3.75. Wireless - 250 minutes - $100; 100 minutes - $55; 33 minutes - $25 or $0.75 per minute (costs you $0.25 more the 33 minute plan). Wirless rental cards - $10 a day & a $3 a day optional insurance. To rent a laptop it is $20 a day & a $10 a day optional insurance.

The $10 a day per person tip does not cover the conciege. Depending on how much you use the concierge depends on how much you wish to tip him/her.

I agree that you may wish to tip the Concierge in Neptune Lounge....the amount varying depending upon what special services she provides for you.

We also tip our cabin steward above the 'automatic tipping' amount. The "S" is a large room for him to clean and he deserves something extra IMO.....providing he does a good job as most HAL stewards do.

Hope you enjoy your first Suite. Be forwarned that you will be spoiled. It's a nice cabin and hard to give up once you have stayed in it.

Also....

You did not mention which ship you are on nor how long your cruise is. The price of the soda card will vary depending upon the length of your cruise.

Soad card for a 7 day is $27.50.
For a 10 day it is $43.13.

Hope this helps :)

I Meant To Say Concierge And Said Butler. Thank You All For The Information You Posted. We Are On The Maasdam To The E. Caribbean On Jan. 6th For 10 Days. This Is Our 6th Cruise On Hal But It Has Been Awhile. We Did Take A Cruise On The Celebrity Constellation In October But Were Very Disappointed After Hearing Such Great Things About Celebrity. I Guess We Are Just Hal People. Our Last Cruise On Hal Was 34 Day Baltic (the One With The Big Wave) In Aug. & Sept. 2003. Give Us Hal Any Day Any Time.
