Hi!
I think I remember someone here stayed in 4180 or 4185. I would love to hear all about it! The balconies look amazing. We're considering one on the Westerdam next November. Thanks!

Wow! That must have been great. Yes, I was curious if it looked like the pictures I've seen on the internet. Is it a lot smaller because the verandah is so large? We would be 2 adults and a 9 year old. Will they bring out any room service orders to the table out there? What can you see above or below you? Is there a decent amount of privacy? We don't need to be totally secluded. Thanks!

The cabin is a little smaller than the side S suites, the balcony is Way,Way,Bigger. It wraps around the side, the side part is as big as the other balconies alone.Yes they will bring breakfast, lunch and even dinner off the menu to the balcony. There are 2 loungers with padding,2 wicker chairs with ottomans, and a table with 4 chairs. You almost always have sun and usually shade. The room has free laundry service a separate dressing area tub and separate shower, king bed ,downs comforter, free appetizers on request, use of Neptune lounge,Did I forget to mention the balcony,oh yea it has more privacy than the ones above it. Anthing else you I can answer just ask.I wouldnt hesitate to take it or one on the 5th deck over a side one. TOM

Do you happen to have any pictures? Did you use the Neptune Lounge very much since you were down a few floors from it? Thanks!

We did go to the Neptune a couple times,it was nice but that important to us and its only about 5 monutes away even on the back.We took pitures but not digital. One bad thing about the back a little vibration. It didnt bother us.The view from the back is awesome on a clear night the stars seem like you can reach up and touch them. Had 8135 [I think] on both Zuiderdam and Oosterdam. They were wonderful with their large varanda, especially as I like to entertain.

But then, these suites had for the most part covered verandas.

Thanks for helping me find that, KSCnCA!
And thanks to Candy and Whiskeyman for the pictures. It is such a hard decision!
Is the vibration at the back of the ship that bad?

I took that picture (that Whiskeyman posted) while on the Golden Princess looking down at the Zuiderdam. The pic is in my album:

golden port pics (http://homepage.mac.com/tlassek/PhotoAlbum22.html)

Glad you enjoyed the picture. We were booked on the Zuiderdam in an aft suite and cancelled it and went on the Golden instead.

Again if the balcony is important to you take the back, the vibration is noticable, but didnt bother us,the service in the dining room or lack of was more of a problem to us. TOM

Candy -- thanks for all those pictures links.....I am so in heaven right now....I booked 5187 for December 11th! Woohoo I am so excited now. That will be super fantastic. I love real estate.

How did the folks arrange for the en suite cocktail party? Was there a charge for the hors d'oeuvres?? I can def get liquor (lol) no problem, and would also need glasses and bar setups.....

I cannot wait, did I mention that! Thank god I'm a late booker....the waiting would kill me!

Jeff

An inroom cocktail party can be pre-arranged through your TA or ships services. There is a cost associated with which package you elect, ie all beer, some beer-some hard, etc. and the number of hours of open bar. Hors d'Oeuvres are included.

Sorry, forgot what I paid last time, but it was around $200 for 17 people for 2 hours. My guys kept steeling the beer and hiding it in the bathroom, so our barman kept running for more. The guys also slipped the barman something, and he stayed opened about 30 minutes more.
