Loves to dance

We were on the Veendam last week, and I know that there were some questions about whether the new Piano Bar setup in the Mix would work. Personally, I thought that it worked well. There are a few tall stools that are always around the piano, however about 10 feet away is the bar counter with another 8 or so tall stools, which can easily be dragged over to the piano. So by the end of the night, 12 or so of us would end up in a ring around the piano, having a grand time. As other people walk by, they see what is happening, and can be urged to join in by the person playing the piano and the audience. In addition to the bar stool seating, there are other lower chairs and benches in the immediate area that provide seating for another 25 or 30 people who want to listen in, but don't want to actively participate.
The name of the current musician in the piano bar is Dave (don't know his last name,) and he is great! His contract ends at the end of the month on the Veendam, however if you are going on next week's cruise, you really should check him out. He is considering taking a contract on the Eurodam, starting at the end of August. He is relatively young and so doesn't have as extensive of a repertoire as some of the other musicians have, however he is very talented, both as a musician and as an entertainer. We had a blast singing along with him! :D
