Vista Class (Zuiderdam in particular) Dining Times?

Wld appreciate knowing what the dining room hours are for early & main dining times so I can decide on traditional or open seating for dinner.

Are there NO Vista class pax that had early or main traditional dining and might remember the start times in the dining room?

Sure wld appreciate knowing the times - tried calling HAL directly twice and got told that the dining room start times were up to the ship and they didn't know???? Well, if they don't, then who does other than perhaps CCers :)

It's been two years and I only know the early time which was 5:45. It was a little too early for us, but better than the late dining which was around 7:00 or so.0

The early fixed dining time is 5:45.

The main fixed dining time is 8.

Open seating is from 5:15 - 9.

Are you on an Alaskan cruise? If so -- some of the ships move the fixed times to 5:30 and 7:45.

Yes, I'm on the Zuiderdam in Sept to Alaska - Krazy Kruisers.

I know the open seating doesn't allow reservations after 6:30 pm..and I am concerned re: possible waiting times..as I am older & diabetic so need to eat at a fairly regular time each day..
Wld be very interested to hear your opinion on the open seating in the dr....always been a traditionalist myself by choice & then by necessity - worth a try??

We sail tomorrow on the Zuiderdam-so will let you know when we return from our Alaska cruise. So excited-it feels like Christmas morning!

I was on the May 23 Zuiderdam Alaska cruise and dining times were 5:30 and 7:45. Alaska is spectacular and I hope you have a fabulous cruise!

Just off the Zuiderdam today and it was 5:30 and 7:45 for fixed. We had open seating for the first time and really liked it.

We always request fixed dining and have gotten it -- 5:45 (5:30 for Alaksa).

You are right -- 6:30 they do not take reservations.

Some people have reported that they were seated right away for the AYWD while others have reported that they had to wait. It varies by ship and time you want to eat.

Might just give the open seating a try this time - even at my age one shld be open to new ideas...
