Hi can anyone tell me if they still accept maestro/switch on board the destiny we are traveling in the carribean in march

They didnt on the spirit last month - not sure though.x

No, they definitely don't take Maestro or Switch on Destiny, although I was told that there were a very few places that did take these cards on some of the Caribbean Islands. I am not sure about the ATM's on land.
I believe it is something to do with the rather complicated "check" procedures that these cards use. Most retailers don't believe it's worth the bother!
There was a large thread on this topic a few months ago, so if you do a "Search" you should be able to find it.

Hi,
Just looked in the back of the Thomsons Cruise brochure, page 196 in the April 2009 one.
It says that Maestro debit cards are accepted.

It does say that indeed, but they DON'T accept them on Destiny in The Caribbean!!!!
There has been many a discussion on this topic over the last six months, and some people took Maestro cards with them as it said they were accepted by Thomson, only to find they WERE NOTaccepted onboard.
As you can imagine, this caused extreme difficulties for some people without back up credit cards! We had to lend a couple on our dinner table £300. They paid it back within a day of getting home!
