Hi. Does anyone know whether the ship's bow is accessible to the passengers on the Vista ships. If so can you explain how to get there. Thanks so much. ;)

After a week on the Oosoterdam with my younger brother, who is determined to find every available passenger accessible space, I can report that the wide, open, "helipad" area of the bow of the Vista-class ships are not accessible to the passengers. The small outside areas on the upper decks, above and below the bridge are accessible from well-hidden, but still passenger-usable heavy bulkhead doors. The open deck space on the Lido deck is the easiest to get to. You can access that space by going though the spa on either the port or starboard side of the ship.

Thanks Ellieanne for the tip about the other decks. I am disappointed about not being able to get to the bow :( oh well...

Actually over the several times that I've been on a Vista Class ship, only once did I see a sign that read "Crew Only". My assumption for that is because crew quarters are located just adjacent to that door. All other times, though, proceeding completely forward on deck 4 through two doors should easily get you onto the bow. I've rarely seen the steel door completely locked. I would give it a shot . . . .

Now you've got me wondering.

Guess I will have to explore a little when we are on the Westerdam.

Thanks...I agree...it's worth a shot. What can they do to me - throw me off the ship
