I was just offered for a small fee an upgrade to a Deluxe suite on July 4th sailing on Zuiderdam Inside Passage
Can someone tell me besides what is listed about perks at this level, like are there free cocktails in the Neptune lounge or just soft drinks, Is there priority boarding and disembarkation, I read somewhere the hydrotherapy spa package is included in Deluxe suite is this the case? Give me any details about this suite package that you can so I will know what to expect.
Thanks:)

From the HAL website:
Deluxe Suite
lower beds convertible to 1 king-size bed, a large sitting area, dressing room, private verandah, 1 sofa bed for 2 persons, floor-to-ceiling windows, no-host mini-bar and walk-in closet*.
488-700 sq. ft. with verandah*.
See deck plans for specific information.
Include all the Superior Suite amenities, plus:
Complimentary laundry, pressing and dry cleaning throughout your cruise
Premium duvet, oversize bath towels and soft, cotton bathrobes and slippers
Gorgeous corsages and boutonnieres for the first formal night
Hors d'oeuvres served before dinner each evening on request
Binoculars and umbrellas for your use on the cruise
Cocktail party with ship officers
Priority boarding for tender ports of call
Special disembarkation service
Priority dining and seating requests
Exclusive daily breakfast service for suite guests only
High tea service in suite on request
A special Suite guest lunch event on cruises over 7 days in length
A very special amenity exclusively for guests cruising in a Deluxe Verandah Suite or Penthouse Verandah Suite, the industry-leading Neptune Lounge features a private place to relax, socialize with other suite guests and enjoy the personalized service of a concierge. The fleet-wide lounges provide worktables, large screen television, library, sofas and chairs, refreshments throughout the day and wi-fi for a small charge. One-Touch 24-hour Concierge Service is available when the Neptune Lounge is closed.
Everyone has their favorite perks, but free laundry and breakfast in the Pinnacle are mine!
No free alcohol in the Neptune....except on some sailings there's a brief cocktail party with officers, usually on the first night, as noted above. Some passengers on this board report no cocktail party on their cruise (?) No hydrotherapy included - that may be part of a "Suite Amenities" or "Suite Elite" package, which in my opinion are overpriced.
Just for the space alone, I'd grab this upsell! How "small" is the upsell fee?

We went from an SY to an SA on the Zuiderdam last week.
We were in 7061 across from the Neptune. The ameneties are really nice. We really liked the concierge for making reservations (and any other request), the refreshments being very close, the free laundry, breakfast in the Pinnacle, and the special reception and lunch. The cabin is also bigger with a king size bed that was very comfortable.
I advise taking it as soon as possible for that price if your budget allows.

We took the same offer last week from our SY. They offered us a SA or a SB AFT Corner. We jumped at the Aft Corner because we love the aft cabins and watching the wake. It's a bit of a walk to the NL, but we have no mobility issues so it is not a problem for us.
We're on the July 4 sailing also.

Thanks for the replies. I jumped on the offer and was given #7061 not far from the Neptune. We cannot wait. Dropping child off at camp this weekend and Three weeks without child and a cruise to Alaska. The other big Factor is we live in Houston and we have been 99 degrees each day for 30 days now without a drop of rain so the change will feel wonderful.

We had a Guar VF verandah balcony initially. Than we were offerd a superior suite upgrade for $198 pp I took that and than decided for grins to call my TA and see if they would offer me a Deluxe, She said they had one left and would let me have it for $198 pp. So basically it cost me an additional $398 pp to go from a balcony to a Deluxe suite. My initial price was $1299 pp so this ended up costing me $1700 pp for a Deluxe. I think I did ok, not great but what the heck we are going to go get spoiled for a week, my wife deserves after putting up with me for almost 20 years.

Kade the room steward and his team mate are very good. He makes a really good towel monkey. :-) You will love 7061. Say hello for us (John, Mary Lou, and Amanda).

We just returned from Alaska aboard the Amsterdam. We were offered an upgrade from a Cat A verandah to a Cat SA. We jumped on the change for our first Suite.
I tell you now, it will be hard not to book a suite every time because of the way that the Neptune Lounge concierges spoil you.
The free Laundry and dry cleaning was a wonderful plus.
The Suite life is "sweet" indeed!
