We're cruising Zuiderdam in February and thought about getting a day pass to use the Atlantis's facilities. Anyone ever do this?

Didn't know they were available. Would have done it in a heartbeat. Atlantis is a wonderful facility. Gorgeous beach and they have a great aquarium. We go there everytime we cruise into Nassau. I wouldn't hesitate if there is such a thing available.

Some people rent a room at the Comfort Inn for the day to obtain passes. They split it with 4 people. I personally haven't done this but have read about it.

We have also read about people getting together and renting a room for the day at the Comfort Inn to get the passes.

But lately the cruises we have been on stop at Nassau from 7 AM to noon and we didn't feel it was enough time for Atlantis.

Just the other day made reservations at the Comfort Suites for 2 rooms for our Jan 4 Westerdam cruise. We are there from 8am-midnight. We needed 2 rooms as we have 8 going. The best rate I found was thru www.smarterliving.com I think the rate was $156+tax. Hope this helps. Linda

I've seen pictures of the resort on TV, but don't know what makes it so special to book a room at a nearby hotel for over $150 for the day to go there. Could someone please tell me about it?

Thanks,
Marc

We were originally interested in going the Comfort Inn route but then realized that we were only there for 5 hrs. My TA said that they cut down on the time in Nassua during the winter but we spend a full day at HMC. I got a tape from Atlantis and it looks very nice. If you can split a room fro $160 at the Comfort Inn then $40 pp is not an expensive activity for the day.

It is a beautiful resort. The grounds are very impressive. There are three pools, a man-made lake with trampolines, and great water slides. The is a lazy river ride and one of the water slides is into a shark tank. ( Plexiglass). There are plenty of chairs and they have entertainment around the pools. Towels are provided. It is nice to walk around. You can see a lot of the fish in the underground aquarium. If you like the beach the ocean is right there too. You can not walk on the grounds unless you are a guest at the hotels ,they have security checking. The price of food and drinks poolside is not bad. You have to be careful some will not accept cash. You can only charge to your room. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. We're going to be in Nassau from 1 to 8 PM on the last day of the cruise (Zuiderdam eastern Caribbean). Not sure if it's warranted with such a late arrival, especially since I'd want to be back at the ship for dinner on the last evening.
