I wasn't paying attention I guess when I booked our outside cabin on the Zaandam for Nov. 20th and realized later than it's a connecting cabin. Now I'm worried that the door will take away some needed space in the cabin! DH and I are traveling alone and won't be using the connecting door. Anyone have experience with this situation? Thanks.

If it's the same as mine was on the Rotterdam it created space. Instead of a full-sized couch my cabin had a love seat, leaving room for the connecting door. When that little oval table in front of the love seat got in the way I was easily able to move it to the side. The love seat was still big enough to sit on with my feet up---and more importantly, to set the suitcase on when it was time to pack.
