DW and I leave on Saturday on the Maasdam for our first ever cruise (10 day EC). We are excited for many reasons, not least of all because we consider ourselves so well prepared due to the information gleaned here. It is our intention to post as often as we can while 'deployed' as our way of paying back, and to post as thorough a review as possible on our return. If anyone has any specific questions they would like researched, please ask and we will do our best to accomodate. I do not claim the humor or elan of recent afloat posters, but I will promise a yeomanlike effort. We have a pretty fair CC turnout on our roll call (33+) and a lively group at that, who will all but guarantee a super time.
Again, thank you all for your insights, facts and opinions.
Cheers
MarkB

I am so excited for you, your first cruise, how wonderful. You certainly will have a great time, but you need to remember, after this first cruise, you WILL be hooked and will want to book another one immediately.

Have a great time and I look forward to reading your posts while onboard the beautiful Maasdam.

Have a great cruise.

Hope you don't run into the problems that a few of the recent Masdam posters had on their cruises.

Doone is correct. You will be hooked and will want to book another cruise immediately! A suggestion: book while onboard. You get a nice shipboard credit for doing so. (The amount depends on length of cruise and stateroom category booked. And it can be combined with a credit your TA or credit card may offer.)

The first cruise is full of special memories forever. And, it gets you hooked on the best way to vacation.

Since you offered, I'd appreciate it if you could post about the storage in the bathroom. Cabinet space? Shelf under the sink? (It will help if you identify what type of cabin you have).
I'll be on the Maasdam for the first time next summer and the info might help in my planning. Thanks.

Have a tremendous time!

Oh, Mark, maybe then I should say "nevermind"! Or, "thanks anyway".

I'm booked in a K-cat (inside guarantee). The chances of an upgrade to an S-cat are in the realm of imaginary numbers!

Oh, Marc, you've chosen such a lovely ship to be your first. As with love, your first should be the best and the best should be your first;) .

Bon Voyage. Have a fabulous time:D . Looking forward to your review.

It's all in knowing how to define, and narrow, a search. There, I've told you my secret. But please, don't tell anybody else!

RuthC: with 33 in the CC party I'm sure we can oblige. Don't 'never mind' too soon. I can always put on a steward coat and sneak a peek.
