Our upgrade (Maasdam) -need your opinion,please

Hello,

We booked a cruise on Massdam Holland America. Our cabin has been upgraded to Lower promenade deck DD 317. We are afraid because of people passing by on the deck all the time it will be too noisy. :confused:
What is your opinion? Our main concern is noise.:eek:

We have been in a D cabin below the promenade deck and we never once heard any noise from above. These are very nice cabins.

I once had an outside cabin on Lower Promenade on the Rotterdam (same configuration as the Maasdam). I didn't have a problem with passenger noise outside. I did hear something (I think) in the early morning once when it was being cleaned, but it wasn't much.

The windows are coated so people can't see in during the daytime. At night you need to close the draperies when your lights are on. Keep the sheers closed when you turn in for the night.
