Are Immunization papers necessary for the Caribbean? thanks

No, would be my answer, as we have cruised there many times and never needed them. But you should always check with your doctor to make sure.

Have needed Immunization papers in all the years we have cruised the Caribbean.

I would suggest Hep A and B shot if you have not had Hepitis. Check with your local health auth on this issue (immos)as things do change.

The last time I had to show an immunization card was in 1966 when I was 16 and was going to spend the summer in Mexico as an exchange student. In those days you had to show that your Tetanus was up to date, but I also had to have a smallpox vaccination and get a Typhus shot.....that last one made me faint the next day! I've been to Mexico and the Caribbean countless times since then and was never asked for a shot card.

You really don't need any specific immunzation shots for the Caribbean unless you intend to hike in the jungles like in Costa Rica.
Years ago when we toured Russia and took a South American cruise, our doctor insisted that we get all the shots, typhoid, diptheria, Hep A and B, etc.
