Shore Excursion Posting Schedule

Greetings -- How far in advance of a sailing will HAL list the excursions and pre-cruise packages for a given cruise? I am 11 months away from a cruise, but there are no listings available for my cruise, yet.

Good question! I'm 6 months away from my cruise date and there are no excursions listed except for Half Moon Cay. :o

From our experience it depends upon the itinerary. Some are available much earlier than others. Good luck.

Also, once the shore ex are posted for a port, additional shore ex can be added later. You'll need to check back.

I have a cruise Nov. 1 on Noordam. There are 6 ports, and it's taken HAL forever to post the shorex. Tortola was finally posted this past Friday, and we're still waiting on St. Maarten. We're less than four months away from embarkation, so if your cruise is 11 months out, don't hold your breath waiting. :D

It really depends on the ports. If they are ports that HAL goes to every year -- the excursions should start to pop up about 6 months in advance of your cruise.

We have done several cruises where HAL was new to a port -- excursions didn't start to show up until about 2 months before the cruise.

And one time we didn't have any excursion show for a port until 2 weeks before we sailed.

I wish I knew the answer. I'm 4 months away from my eastern Caribbean cruise and there are no excursions available yet except for Half Moon Cay. I check every day and it's driving me nuts!

We also check. We're sailing 3 months from now and final payment is due in a few days. Still no shore excursions except HMC.

Ah, the days when we didn't get to even see the shore excursions until we got to our cabins!!!:D

Now HAL can't get them on line soon enough!!:D

I sail on 11/1 on the Westerdam. No excursions up except for HMC... Oh well!

Sorry KK, I've actually found that the more 'unusual' the ports, the earlier the shore ex appear. Our next cruise departs late October. Most of shore ex have been available for several months now and a number aren't ports that HAL visits frequently. We were booked on parts of last years WC. Those shore ex were available earlier than any other cruise we've booked. Earlier this year I took my first Caribbean cruise in many years. I was shocked that the shore ex weren't available until just a few months before sailing.

I'm having the same experience as Mary Ellen. Barbados was posted a few months ago, for instance, but no shorex yet for St. Maarten which has been a HAL staple port.

It's funny that I logged into CC today and see this thread. I was going to ask the same question.

Our cruise is approaching 3 months out and only St. Thomas and HMC have anything listed.

What I find really odd is that i recieved an email from HAL last week reminding me of our approaching cruise and suggesting that I go right away and make reservations for shore excursions!!!
