There's been quite a bit posted about the recent upgrades involving the SOE. But so far I haven't seen anything about the Culinary Arts program HAL is promoting. From what I understand the Ryndam has already been upgraded.

Can anyone shed some light on what we can expect? Demos? Tasting? Celibrity chefs? Prices?

When I contacted HAL offices they really couldn't offer any info.

When we visited the Ryndam they took us to the Culinary Arts Center and it is awesome. It has a modern kitchen and twice each voyage they are giving demonstrations which are free. If you want to participate in the hands on program the charge is $19. There is a special Culinary voyage on the Ryndam in February and gues chefs wiill be on board. The new Executive Chef of HAL, Rudi Sodamin comes from RCCL and we have been in contact with him. He is FABULOUS and has some fantastic events planned for this new progran which was his baby.

Its going to be quite a while before the new Culinary Arts program will be on the other "R" and "S" class ships as the new area where it is located (old Wajang Theatre) won't be replaced until ship goes in for its dry dock in the coming months.
