Yesterday, I booked Cabin #4016 for 4/16/05

** Today, I realized that our cabin is above the Vista Lounge (UGH!) **and I am concerned about noise. Sometimes hubby & I like to call it quits early and catch up on some zzzzzzz's -

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has stayed on the Upper Promenade Deck above the Vista Lounge.

I wonder if I should change my cabin to another deck??
Thanks!

I stayed in #4102 last March and plan on staying in the same cabin this coming March. You could faintly hear music from one of the lounges but it shut down around midnight so wasn't really a bother.

Although you are above the balcony area, you may still probably hear some of the music as HAL ships have a tendency to play the music loud during the production shows - especially the base notes.

My mom was in 4042 and didn't complain about noise...

Cabin 4042 is NOT above the Vista Lounge. It is further back - over the area where the elevators are located.

Cabin 4016 is directly above the balcony of the Vista Lounge.

true...but even the elevators didn't bother her. My suggestion is to open your balcony door a tad to block out the noise and listen to the waves.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Just to be on the safe side, I changed our cabin to the Verandah deck - one up. Same $$ and the balcony on this cabin has clear railings instead of stainless steel.

Does anyone have complaints about cabin #5012? It's not near the elevators or above the lounge or an adjoining room - I think I'm safe as far as noise goes......at least I hope so!
