This one hour program is currently running. It's an informative overview of the Alaska ports of call and the on board experience. It should be of special interest if you've never visited Alaska and are considering a cruise.
If you miss it tonight it will repeat on Sunday, Nov 21, at 12N CST.

We watched it last night even though we had seen it a couple of times before.

It's a good show.

We also got to watch it thanks to your post. It repeated last night, so we got to re-live our Alaska cruise that we loved so much. It is truly a spectacular state! And frankly, I was glad to see cruising presented HAL style. Usually they show frenetic party people on a cruise ... and I believe that's what most folks tend to think a cruise is all about. Oh well ... that's another topic. ;)

Does anyone remember the title of the program? Our local travel channel listings show a program about Alaska but the title is "Walk On The Wild Side" which does not sound like a HAL cruise to us.

We would love to see this program.

PS We are in Georgia if that makes any difference.

Thanks,
Nancy

"Walk on the Wild Side" is a generic name for this travel series. You're looking for "Alaska, Walk on the Wild Side".
The program is not just about the cruise. Most of the hour is devoted to Alaska, but it also provides a good overview of the HAL cruise experience on Veendam. FYI - Veendam does alternating north/south bound itineraries between Vancouver and Seward. The routes are different enough to justify a B2B. We were very glad we did. Besides the differences, the B2B allowed us to make up for couple of missed trips due to bad weather the first week.

We'll get it set up up to tape tomorrow.
