Here's the story..........We were given a 25% discount voucher for a future cruise on HAL due to the fact that our cruise was shortened by hurricane Jeanne in September. I tried to use the voucher with an online agency that I'd booked the origional cruise with for the future cruise. I was told that I could not use the voucher with on line rates....I did not see what the difference was since the voucher specifically gave an amount that was to be deducted from the price of the cruise..PLUS the price that we would have paid with our voucher was the on-line price!!...Wasn't the agency going to be reembursed for the amount of the voucher by HAL?..Isn't it like a check? I felt that I was being ripped off. So I decided to try another on-line agency to see what they had to say. They were VERY helpful and let us use the voucher for the entire amount off the price of the on-line price of the cruise (we did have to pay a $15.00 charge per couple for booking over the phone...no problem), plus we were given the cabin # that we wanted AND she gave us the $50.00 pp promo #267 shipboard credit as well! By the way the price we paid with the voucher was phenominal for an SS!! I am very happy that I did a little more research before succombing to the "advise" of the first agency! My advise to anyone who received the vouchers is not to take an agencys word as gospel.......You CAN use the voucher with an on-line price...I guess the trick is to find an agency that wants repeat business and wants you to have a great vacation! Since I know that I'm not allowed to announce the name of the on-line agency that gave me such great service you all may e-mail me via this web-site and I will gladly get it to you. Good Luck!
