Treasures of the Baltic - 10 July 09 Spirit

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone was on the Treasures of the Baltic cruise, and has any comments / information regarding any of the ports and or the ship.

Also I was wondering what was the crossing of the North Sea like??

We are sailing on 4 September on the Spirit doing the Cities of the Baltics, a number of the ports are the same

Hi Sez,

Hubby and I have just got back from this cruise. It was a little rough on our first evening but a couple of Stugeron sorted us out no problem, unfortunately they didn't help us get into Aalborg - our last port. The sea/winds were too strong to get into the narrrow harbour entrance (apparently even if you get in you may not get out) so we slowly headed straight back to Newcastle.
All ports we did get to were great, at Warnemunde we arrived just in time to take the tour train round the town, takes about 20 mins for 3 euros, and commentary is in English & German.

Weather was a bit of all sorts, St Petersburg was scorching sunshine, Stokholm we had a sudden shower but luckily had our waterproofs with us.

You're going to have a great time, wish i was heading back there!
