A fellow member (Willsot) mentioned on another thread that he did a kayaking excursion in Grand Turk this past April and the island was nothing but sand and rock. Has anyone else done a kayaking shore excursion in Grand Turk? Is it worth the money? I was planning on doing the one thru HAL with the glass bottom kayaks. They want $69 per person. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
Special thanks to Willsot for bringing this to my attention in the first place! :)

Julie:
Our excursion was the clear kayaking through the mangroves, etc. etc. It wasn't terrible for the relatively cheap price, it was just an excursion that my DW and I both said we would not take again. Did not match up very well with the description. Thankfully they were tandem kayaks, so I was able to do most of the paddling on the return trip which was fairly difficult against the current. We did see some different varieties of birds but I don't believe that we saw any fish through the glass-bottomed kayak. Pretty desolate area. We did see some people on the dune buggy excursion and they looked pretty fun + many others were riding around in golf carts. There is also a Flow Rider (surfing wave machine) in the pool area and it was fun relaxing poolside and watching all the kids trying to master that.
