Greetings-
I am going on Baltic cruise next June....does anyone know what port the Voyager docks at when in St Petersburg??? I understand one is in the Industrial area and one is closer to the town... Depart on June 5.

It depends upon which one is available. Although the one near downtown is definitely preferable, when we were there, we ended up in the industrial area. It does not make much difference since, unless you have your own visa, you are always with a tour group when you are not on the ship.
You'll love St. Peterburg -- it's a lovely city.

We were at the one that is right downtown. It was great! I took some awesome pictures of a beautiful Orthodox church that was right by the ship and of the Hermitage from a distance. There were a lot of Russian guys out on the dock in the evenings fishing, and you could people watch from the top deck.

Last August we also were in the Industrial Port and of course without a Russian Visa you can't get off.....and if you do get off you can't walk anywhere as it is to far.....The other downtown pier is Much much better but there was a Crystal ship there when we came in....Regent will know which one when you are a few months out (At least they did last summer).... We had a private guide for all three days and they supplied the VISA for our tours lasting from 9am to about 4:30pm...next time I will get a Russian Visa and venture into town abit on my own!
You are going to love St Petersburg.........

I was on the July 23rd Russia/Baltic sailing and we were in the industrial area--I was so glad I didn't get the private visa. Silver Cloud was at the downtown dock and I was SO jealous...

The best thing is to check with Regent about 2 months before you depart. Right now, if the tides are right, the Voyager is due to dock at Lt. Schmidt embankment this year. Next year may be different. i agree that the industrial port is a pain if you have an individual visa.
BTW, technically there are 4 ports in St. Petersburg: The commercial port, the passenger ship port, the Lt. Schmidt Embankment, and the English Embankment.
