I have just priced out a 4-night Bahamian cruise on the Wonder for my family of four (myself, wife and two children ages 13 and 6). The Cat 9 stateroom with an oceanview is pricing at $650 cheaper than the Cat 6 stateroom with a verandah.

My question is do you think the Cat 6 stateroom is worth the additional $650 for a 4-night cruise? Is there anyone who stayed in a Cat 9, who wishes they had stayed in a room with a verandah. Or, likewise, anyone who paid for a Cat 6, but ended up not spending much time in the room and wishes you paid less for a room without a verandah. What are the things I should consider when making my decision?

I can afford the $650 (it won't break me), but I also can be a little frugal with my money and I don't want to part with it unless I know it is worth the additional expense. By the way, I was almost ready to put a deposit on a Cat 9 for the week after this particular cruise until I learned that the cruise the week before is cheaper. The Cat 6 I am referencing is actually pricing out $10 cheaper than the Cat 9 I was ready to book the following week. Not sure if this will impact your advice, but it seems to be impacting my decision process.

Thank you in advance for your replys.

Got the Cat. 6 for a 7 day Eastern and never regretted it. Had a great time hanging out there. Coffee in the morning, reading at night when our son was in bed. It was worth it to us. We have another cruise booked and have a verandah again. You will like it when the 6 y.o naps or goes to sleep.
