Based on advice I received here, I am going to book a HAL cruise on the Eurodam in early November or middle to late December. Can anyone tell me what to expect in the way of weather (San Juan, St. Thomas) that time of the year? Do we need to fear hurricanes disrupting the cruise?

November is still hurricane season, but the good news is that the season is winding down. The weather should be in the 80s in the Caribbean.

We try to go every year at that time the weather is nice mid 80's water is in the upper 70's. I use a shortie when we go for a dive.

we also try to book the Caribbean in late November or early January. the weather is always just wonderful then - hence why the cruise lines come there at that time of the year. I would not fret over the weather .. only which type cabin you get for whatever you wish to spend.

I was on the Eurodam's Eastern Caribbean last year during the first week of Nov. The weather was warm to hot and the water temp was very comfortable except in HMC where it was a tad chilly...not to worry, I "forced" ;) myself in and enjoyed every minute.

Hi There AuntKaty -

RE: St. Thomas - St. John in November - we cruise this time of year - weather is usually great - if you plan on swimming - imo the water is chilly - lips turned blue in St. John-sun was in and out so I was freezing but DH was fine - if you tend to run cold - just make sure you bring a sweatshirt or something to warm up in- have fun!
