Is anybody going on the repositioning cruise from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale.

I have been reading some pretty bad reviews about the Oosterdam on this site?

Has anybody been on her lately and what was your experience. The las time we travelled on HAL was 7 years ago on the Zaandam at is was exceptional.

Have they let the standards drop ?

There's quite a large Roll Call thread for this sailing:

We will be on the same October 17th Transatlantic on the Oosterdam. We were on it in April (Eastern Med) and everything was fine, except for our Deluxe Cabin steward - he would let things pile up rather than getting everything done each day. We ended up with an armload of three days of laundry one hour before debarkation. On this trip I'm going to get it straight with the Neptune Lounge person first thing!

We sailed on the Oosterdam in May 2008 and absolutely LOVED it!!!! Say Hi to Hunky Dory in the Lido Restaurant from Roger and Joanie from Albuquerque. And if you are on Deck 5 and have Why You (spelling?? Yes, that is his name) as your cabin steward you will LOVE him!!!!!!!!!

The cabins are gorgeous, the food everywhere was to die for (and hubby and I are both gourmet food lovers) the staff is perfection and the cruise was the most exciting and beautiful I have ever been on.

She was our 1st HAL cruise, but definitely NOT our last!!!!

If she was in the disrepair that I also have seen others post, I could not tell it!!!

Have a wonderful cruise!!!
