I just received the following in an email from my PCC at NCL...

"I just got an email that at this time they will start a waitlist for the Epic the sailing at this time is 5/1/2010 that is the tentative."

Many of us I got the same email. The date has NOT been announced. They are only starting a waitlist. Current plans do not have the ship complete if on time until the last day in May

I'm waitlisted in an SA suite! Yippee! :) Thank you for posting this, because I don't use a PCC, and did not receive an email!

Did you get your confirmation yet. It is pretty funny with no real date, no real pricing, and no real intinerary. Mine for an AC was $57,201, Dover to NYC in one day 5/1-5/2. :D

That would be EPIC....maybe they're using the Concorde's old engines.... supersonic sailing!

Of course I figured we'd have 10 days to explore the ship..... but setting a new speed record could be fun too

If you are interested in bizarro pricing, see post 4;) If it's actual pricing you're looking for, you'll have to stay tuned. . .

Mine was $71,000 1 day cruise from Dover, UK to NYC, leaving May 1, arriving May 2.

So we don't know when it is, how much it costs, or where it's going...but we're waitlisted!!!! :)

No details yet on price, date, or itinerary. Here is the "fake" data you get on a wait list confirmation. All I can say I am glad I am waitlisted. AC waitlist has already exceeded the number of AC penthouses.

That link didn't work for me. Try this one:
Europe TransAtlantic Itineraries (http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/destination/itineraries.html?destinationCode=EUROPE&subDestinationCode=EUROPE.TRANSATLANTIC)

As usual things show up on the NCL Website in pieces. I would say this is a very good bet. This link works the one of above now goes to a blank page

The dates would work out fine for me as it gives us four days in New York then we can get the QM2 back to southampton.

And it puts the Epic in NYC July 2 just in time for a CTN on the 4th and a grand fireworks photo oppurtunity.

Hopefully it was just a placeholder, and there will be some ports on our trip :)

If that turns out to be the itinerary ( I am hoping for a port even if I have to deal with getting off and on with 5000 of my best friends ;)) it is not that slow. The Pearl was 10 days no ports to Miami. Instead of taking The Epic into the north Atlantic for the shortest route to NYC 8 days allows for a more southernly route and better weather for all of us..

It will most likely be by invitation only (not for sale to general public).

Also, we arrive July 1st not 2nd.

NCL has announced on their facebook page there will be no revenue cruises from NYC. If they decide to Christen the Epic in NYC then there would be a free 2 or 3 day Inaugural cruise as pointed out by invitation only.

I think they should "invite" all of the revenue passengers from the TA! ;)
