Hi everyone...I'm leaving for my honeymoon on Mairner of the Seas on 12/5...we just looked at our cabin online and realized it is a connecting stateroom....please tell me the balcony is private! Thanks!

My understanding is that the balconies are private (and indeed I've read some messages from folks looking for tips on how to mechanically alter the ship so as to permit free access between the two balconies! )
The only thing I've read about connecting staterooms that has concerned me was about noise coming through the doors. I've heard it both ways: There is noise and there isn't noise. The reports haven't been numerous enough and/or contained enough disclosure to conclude whether there is a difference between Sovereign/Vision versus Radiance/Voyager, as I suspect (i.e., that the newer ships don't have this problem...)
We both may get better answers from the Royal Caribbean Board...

What cabin are you in--we are in an aft cabin 1692 which is also a connecting room for Mariner on 12/5 as well and we are concerned about the same thing--maybe we're neighbor's.
