If you go on a cruise tour, do you get sea days for the time spent on the ship? We're spending a fair number of days on our upcoming Alaska cruise tour, but only 3 of them are actually on the Volendam.

Sorry - only the 3 days that you are actually on the Volendam will count towards Mariner status.
Land tours do not count.

Nanner - did you mean "do you get sea days for the time spent on the land tour"? I don't know, but I would contact the Mariner Society for an answer to that one.

KK is right---you get credit for the time spent aboard the ship, nothing for the land tour.
As a matter of fact, you also don't get mariner days credit unless you're actually aboard, even if you've paid for the cruise.
I was within 2 days of a 22-day cruise once, but was unable to board. Unfortunately, those days don't count toward my next medal. :(

I didn't expect to get sea days for the land portion. Note I only asked about the days on the ship, and thanks to those who answered my question.
