Has anyone ordered flowers on HAL before, and how were they?
The list on the website doesn't give much information as to how the various bouquets vary.
They don't provide any flowers as standard in regular veranda staterooms do they?
I've got to make a quick decision and order them Monday, otherwise I will be too late.
Bon Voyage Bouquet ** $29
One Dozen Long Stemmed Roses ** $44
Anchors Aweigh Bouquet ** $19
Mariner Memories - Fresh Cut Flowers** $51
Deluxe Dutch Delight ** $37

We had a very small token arrangment that sat on the coffee table on our first cruise in 2004; don't remember having any 'gratis' flowers otherwise. Did order a Christmas bouquet last Christmas on the Eurodam. They were lovely and I had to throw them out because our cruise was only 7 days. I would definitely order them again. I would go for it!
Have a great trip!

I've given them as gifts and rec'd them as gifts. Very nice, long lasting. Good value IMHO. However, for me in a small cabin, they just got in the way (but would NEVER tell the giver that!) I'd only order them as a gift again if someone was in a bigger cabin than standard inside or OV.

The last two cruises we have had flowers in our cabin ordered from guest services in advance. The first was a seven day Alaskan cruise and the flowers lasted the whole cruise. The most recent cruise of 15 days my wife was sent 12 red roses from our children because it was Mother Day whilst we were on board and they too lasted almost the whole cruise. I would highly say that it is a very good idea and well worth the effort and a good touch for the cabin. Colakid.

Serioiusly, Kween Karen, I found them to be in the way a LOT more than I found them enjoyable. The regular cabins are so small -- I felt bad, too, because they WERE lovely. Maybe you could bring some back onboard from some of your ports?

We ordered the Anchors Aweigh Bouquet ($19) on the Eurodam earlier this year. It was a small coffee table display in a glass bowl. It was arranged so that it had no stems, just tops of flowers covering the bowl. The quality was great; lasted the whole week. However, this Christmas we will order the Bon Voyage Bouquet ($29) in hopes that it will be bigger and have more flowers. A regular sized cabin is large enough for table top flowers; just put them on the coffee table or desk. We did see the Mariner Memories Arrangement ($51) in a neighboring cabin. It was way too large, although stunning. For both good quality and price, consider the Bon Voyage Bouquet ($29).
sallycruiser06 - How did you order a Christmas Bouquet (this is not an option on HAL's website at this time)? We will be on Eurodam's Christmas sailing this year.
Attached is a picture of the Anchors Aweigh Bouquet and the Gourmet Chocolates Plate (a gift from one of the Pursers).

Thanks very much for all the help. I've ordered the Bon Voyage bouquet. I'm not all that bothered about flowers myself, but my mum loves them and I think she will love walking into the cabin and seeing fresh flowers all week. :)

Hi QM2 Cruiser,
A couple of months before Christmas HAL posted a special gift selection on the web site. You could buy small Christmas trees, a couple of different holiday bouquets as well as a hannakah themed arrangement. It was quite lovely! Have a wonderful trip...they make Christmas very special!
