People may be rude sometimes ....... it is the EPIC tread, but you asked a legitimate question!! Cigarettes onboard most ships are currently running $22 - 24 US dollars a carton/maybe cheaper if bought in lots of 2. The cheapest place I have seen America cigarettes is on the Dutch side of St. Maarten. Marlboros were $13.00 dollars a carton and Winstons were $10.00. I did not check others; however, we bought them for my brother in a shop that also sold alcohol. On some of the other islands, last year, they were running $18 to $22 dollars a carton. St. Maarten was the best price I have ever seen. The shop was near the ferry port across the street from a casino. Hope this helps.

There are lots of Islands owned by many different countries with varied prices.

(and yes, this is the Epic thread)

Thank you. I don't know the person who asked the original question, but I have asked some naive questions in the past because I really didn't know. I am trying to quit smoking, but was in the Caribbean last year and bought cigarettes for all my smoking family. I live in NC and we are now absolutely taxed to death. I believe the EPIC is doing the Carib route for a while. I am booked on her for 2011 when they return her to Barcelona. I used to live in St. Thomas so try and choose other places to see. One thing, there is a KMart on St. Thomas that has amazing prices on both cigarettes and alcohol. Dom P., last year, pink lable, was $64 US. Could have gone up...
