View Full Version : Clarifying the EPIC CLUB

Okay...so I was re-reading some of the material regarding the differences between a Villa, the SA, and the AC.

I think that one of the major differences has been overlooked.

It appears that The Epic Club is for the exclusive use of The Villas. (Not "all who can access the courtyard").

I've been told in writing that Breakfast & Lunch in the Epic Club are available to the Suites, but it's my understanding that for The Villas, they also have complimentary dinner at The Epic Club....whereas it will be a pay restaurant (with restricted hours) for non-Villa people.

Did I miss where this was covered earlier, or am I just finally putting 2 + 2 together?

Hi Stephen,

I read this same thing "exclusive to Villas". However, Isn't the Private restaurant and Bar the same as the Epic Club? If so, I have read that A2,A5, A3,A6, A4,A7 and SA having exclusive access it.

I think at this point in time your are putting 2 + 2 and getting 5.

If an AC has access to the exclusive courtyard I have to believe it is all of the courtyard including Epic Club for dinner. One thing for certain we will be some of the first to find out.

Here's the response I had from NCL a couple of weeks ago (from a Senior Management member):

"Spa suites will have access as well to The Villas area (courtyard complex on Deck 14) which includes daily VIP breakfast and lunch in The Epic Club which is the Courtyard restaurant. Access to the Epic Club for non-suite guests has not yet been determined/finalized. "

In putting this together with the 'exclusive' quote, I'm concluding that the dinners are included for the Villas, but not the Suites. It might help explain the large price disparity...

Funny how two people can see different things in the same message. The open issue is the Epic Club and non-suite quests.

I thought the question was regarding Spa SUITES and the Epic Club?

...and NCL e-mailed me that AC would not have access to the Epic Club or lounge. So I guess the answer is that we will eventually see.

One other point if you have not priced an Epic cruise lately do so. That "large price disparity" has become very norrow. A3/A4s have remained the same but ACs have gone up ~$600 pp making the gap rather small.

I pointed that out on another thread in this board. Since all but one AC on my Feb 2011 were sold at the time of the price change, it won't amount to a whole lot of extra revenue for NCL.

I HOPE you're right! :) I'm not an MDR kinda guy, and The Epic Club sounds like my kind of venue! ;)

I'm just not entirely convinced...so as Flaham says...I guess we'll have to wait & see.

I'm sure they meant to say Deck 16, or maybe it'll just be free Mac 'n cheese w/ the 12 and under crowd.

I do notice that on my same sailing the cost of the SA suites has gone up $600 per person since I booked. It is always nice to have the price for two people $1200 less than current pricing not counting the $1000 I saved through CAS.

We have the same situation! Isn't that crazy?!?? the SA is only up about $150 pp on our sailing, last time I checked.

Thank goodness for CAS!! This is our first booking w/ CAS - however, I'm sure it won't be the last! The gal I talked to there said that Epic is close to full on some sailings already... and that the prices probably will only increase - supply/demand. We did good with booking early! :D

I cannot wait for that first experience in a suite.. and a Spa suite, at that!

I'm in a Penthouse with access to the Courtyard and Epic Club. I'm on deck 11. I was told this when I booked.

Suggest getting confirmation of this in writing by e-mail from your NCL PCC.

The 14 night cruises just got the price increase on the AC penthouses. Up until yesterday most sailings were at $3599 pp. Today they have gone up about $1500.pp on all sailings. Funny, they had kept these prices lower than the seven day sailings (doubled). Now they are more. Anywho- I feel pretty confident that these suites will get all villa perks now that they have become so close in price. I hope so..booked for 2011. Maybe they will have all of the kinks out by then.

You should have seen the fare for an AC of the 7 day transatlantic. With the AC only being 238 SF I elected to go with an A3 450 SF for only $300 pp more.

AC PENTHOUSE $2.649+tax pp
