I was just reading the Prinsendam thread--we spent 18 days on her last year, SS suite, and loved it except for some a/c problems--they were never acknowledged as they should have been. We would all have accepted the situation with better grace.
I am writing to you as my maiden name was Trub and I was known then by many, as Trubey. It is an unusual name and there is little I know about it. Alas, it is too late to ask my father questions--I am interested now and wasn't then!
My father visited his German ancestral home immediately after May, l945, as a Colonel in our Army, but his visit was not appreciated as it was feared he would make some claim.
