View Full Version : Noordam 4036 or 4140?

Hey, I was looking at either of these balcony cabins. It looks like 4036 is over the lounge....and 4140 is over the dining room. Which is likely to be quieter....or does HAL have great sound proofing between decks? :) Also, I see that 4036 has "steel railings." Does anyone have a picture of this? How much does this obstruct the balcony view? Thanks!

DH and I have been on 4140. Didn't hear any noises coming from the DR. We liked the cabin a lot. Very close to elevators that take you to Lido and the DR. You will not see the ocean if you are sitting down in your balcony if it has the solid steel balcony. You have to stand up! Happy cruising.:)

Take the VD 4140 with the plexiglas. :)

We're booked on Cabin 4135 in an upcoming cruise. Can someone tell me if it has the plexiglass railing?

You are fine in 4135, it is the vf's and vh cabins forward that have the solid balcony. Happy cruising to you!:)
