We are leaving on Dec. 2nd (Thurs.) and we still don't have a cabin number. I just called HAL, and she said we are still under guarantee. We may not know til we arrive at the pier!!
This is exciting!
Can't wait to get on that ship!!

Had the same experience on a HAL Panama Canal cruise a few years back. Cabin assignment was made after we arrived in Fl. at the hotel which was part of the HAL package. As I recall we received the cabin assignment the morning we were to embark. No more guarantees for us...we ended up in a cabin which we were very unhappy with but since we knew the risks when we booked we just filed it under "lessons learned".

Sounds like you will be on the Rotterdam - what a lovely ship - and the itinerary is GREAT!
Hope everything works out for you - cabin wise - that is.

Would love to hear how it all turns out for you Catlib. Who knows, there is one penthouse left!! :D Now there is an upgrade you could live with. ;) Maybe if you think of it on HMC you can come by and say hello and let us know how it all turned out!

Thanks for the responses. We did a guarantee cabin on a Carnival cruise and got a very nice one, but didn't get it until the day of embarkation. Guess it will happen this time, also.
I'm sure any cabin we get on the Rotterdam will be beautiful.
Localady, we will see you at HMC!!
Happy sailing!!
