Has anyone used these folks? Do they send you your documents in a timely fashion? Any problems with them?

Many thanks for your answers.

now I use a full service TA(the one I sent you) for all my bookings. She typically can match BPC's deals or come very close. I recently booked the Zuiderdam for myself and dh for Dec 2005 with another couple, and her price was a bit more on the day I looked at BPC's, BUT, she was able to make our cruise a "group", and each couple is receiving complimentary dinner at the Pinnacle, soda cards for each individual, and 3 bottles of wine per couple at dinner....What a deal..a much better value than BPC's, plus the great service of a TA. In the past I had some service issues with BPC's.
Incidentally, a few days later when I checked BPC's, their price was now a few dollars higher, with NO PERKS!

Back to BPC's, yes I have received my documents in a timely manner. One time, I had a VERY difficult time obtaining a price adjustment, BUT, persevered and I did get it, because it was a few days before final payment.
After that incident I said I wouldn't book again, as I felt they didn't have my best interest at heart.

Chances are this thread will be removed if seen. "They" don't let us talk about specific TA's ... internet or otherwise. Just so you know in case it disappears:) .

I've used Best Price Cruises for my last 3 trips, with absolutely no problems at all. I've gotten excellent service, and even got a $50 cabin credit per person on this year's cruise with them! All documents arive in a timely manner, they are very responsive to my phone calls and questions, and have always given me a better price than I have been quoted by both land TA's and other websites. Gary is my agend with Best Price, and he has been great to work with and a real help. I give them two thumbs up!:D

They have great prices, but if you have to change or cancel your cruise the paperwork runaround is extreme. They also charge a cancellation or change fee, but many agencies do that now.

I checked bestpricecruises, com before I booked with Pavlus. Cruise is 10/22/05 Transatlantic 15 nighter on the Westerdam. I booked category "S" for two passengers without airfare. Prices are as follows:

Bestpricecruises $8867.36

Pavlus $7708.56

I also just checked cruisevalue and they are fairly close to Pavlus at $7811.02. It pays to check a lot of internet sights and prices ranged up to nearly $12,000 for this cruise with a lot around the $10,000 price.

We have used Kathy at BPC for a New years cruise on Volendam last year and for our upcoming Oosterdam trip January 2nd.
She has been great.. Good prompt service, and the best prices I could find.
We received our docs for the upcoming cruise about 2 weeks ago..Thats the quickest weve every gotten.

There is no one internet travel agency that offers the lowest price on all available cruises. Just a tip that it pays to check around and do your homework for each and every cruise you are planning to book.

The rule of thumb.. if some one asks a specific question like "who is your TA?" or "have you used XYZ" you can answer. They just don't like solicitation.

HI,

I used them for my honeymoon cruise and saved $1000 over everyone else's prices.

Like someone else said, though, it depends on the cruise. They each have different bargains, so shop around every time!

As far as service, I didn't need to speak to anyone (and probably never would), but everything was taken care of properly and I received my docs just fine.

Melissa :)

I had a problem with a past on-line agency that would not honor my discount voucher with the on-line price. I gave BPC a call and they happily accepted the voucher w/ the on-line price, got us the room that we preferred (that was not listed) & gave us a promo shipboard credit ($50.00 pp) as well. I am a woman who loves to feel like I'm getting a "bargain" so I couldn't be happier! Too bad the other agency couldn't work w/ me as I could have been a lifelong customer. So consequently, I will more than likely be a lifelong customer of BPC. Since discovering cruising, I will definately book at least one cruise a year! Chef Nancy:)
