Has anyone stopped on the way from Rome's airport to ship to buy wine? If so, where might that be? Usually we stop at a supermercato .. but I am not familiar with any on that route.

There is almost nothing but long grass between the airport and Civitavecchia. Ask your drive to find a shop in Ciitavecchia before entering the port. You should have no problem.

There is a wine shop at the airport by the way.
