Has anyone "rented" one of these cabanas? Are they worth it? What sort of refreshments come with this little "cottage by the sea".

Going on the Zuiderdam 5/7/05

I envy all of you who can remember the dates of your former cruises. This will be my 11th and for the life of me, I can hardly remember any. I do remember the one we took on the Maasdam - 4/1/01 - we were married on the ship!!

There are quite a few other threads discussing this topic :) Just take a peek around and your questions will probably be answered :)

Thanks, Super Grover - I have looked around and did some searches. Threads come up, but no where can I find anything about cabanas. Am I doing something incorrectly.

Thanks.......

I wrote a ton about our cabana. And there have been so many threads with pics, etc. Did you type "cabanas" in the search? Should come up. If you want to see pictures of it go to this link and click on the Half Moon Cay pictures: Webshots Community - heatherinflorida's Photo Home Page (http://community.webshots.com/user/heatherinflorida)

Anyway, we loved it! We rented the turquoise cabana a few weeks ago with another couple which made it much cheaper. We thought it was worth every penny. Even without the "butler package", we had 2 cabana boys who had fruit and sodas for us when we arrived. Then they brought guacomole and salsa witha ton of chips. They asked when we'd like to eat and went to the pavillion to bring us our food. They brought everything ... hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, corn, steak. Then they brought a huge plate of brownies and cookies.

It includes some sodas; I forget how many. Any more than that and you pay for it ... and drinks of course. They are air conditioned even though it's open on the front ... the deck extends out and there are 2 lounge chairs with misters. In the cabana itself is a large table with 4 chairs. There's also a shower. It was fabulous. We absolutely loved it and recommend it highly.

Love your motto, Heather! :D I had never noticed that before. It is going up in my cubicle here at work! Boy, do I need this cruise!

Cheers,
Cynthia

Heather, thanks for posting those photos. I will be in the green cabana in a few months. I noticed that there were a lot of lounge chairs in front of your turquoise cabana. I thought there would be more privacy. Maybe fewer people will be at our location since it is next to the yellow cabana at the far end of the beach.

Loved the Yuk! food pictures.
