Has anyone experienced them, and which might you prefer and why?
Thanks for the help.

While I can't help with the Oosterdam cabins, you might want to give a little more information about your needs so others can help. The handicap B cabin on the Amsterdam that was perfect for my step-mom (mobile, but has had a stroke) wouldn't have worked at all for my brother (who uses a ECV) as there wasn't room for the EVC.
Things like:
Do you need room for a chair/O2 tanks?
Do you need to be close to the elevators?
Good luck -

We were on the O in 6003 [i believe!]. Upper verandah.
Port side ...
It was plenty big for us [DH has a power chair] with roll-in shower, grab bars, etc.
Balcony was accessible, but small. No matter - he is not a balcony kind of guy.

My brother has that cabin booked on the Zuiderdam in March. The cabin is pretty large, and it looked as though the verandah was the same size as the rest of the same category cabins. Is that not true, or is your post just a general comment on all balconies?

Orcone,
We had 6004 on the Z last year, 6003 on the O this year [if I have my numbers straight and my wits about me, having been immersed in the "diluted drinks" thread far too long].
Um ... what was your question?
Oh, balcony. My husband was in a power chair, and he went out on the balcony on the Z and just felt he did not have enough maneuvering room. So on the O, he never bothered.
I would have had to move one of the chairs inside the cabin to accommodate him.
But he was just as happy inside the cabin, reading and enjoying the AC.
Me, I like the fresh [warm] air.
I am sure your brother will enjoy the room and the balcony.

Thanks Oceanwench. Just wondering because we have VA category cabins further back, and he has cabin 6003. They all looked like they had the same size verandah. So you're comment is probably valid for all verandah cabins below category SS.
