I think I have asked this before, just wondering if HAL does anything for Halloween? Do people dress up? Is there usually a party in one of the lounges? Any info would be appreciated, DH and i will be on Maasdam Halloween

I've spoken to my PCC at HAL and he tells me that they won't have any info about this until about 2 weeks prior to Halloween,. It is up to the CD to decide what to do.
We will be on the Statendam on Oct. 30. If I hear anything I will post on Role Call Statendam Oct 30.

We were on an NCL ship once during Halloween and there was a dress up party in one of the lounges that night. We brought some small, easy to pack costumes just in case there was a Halloween party on board. It was fun and many other cruisers wished that they too had brought costumes. You might want to pack some cheap ones just in case there is something going on.

Some parts of the ship may decorated -- depends on the HM.

There will be a party -- usually at 10:30 -- on the Maasdam -- in the Crow's Nest.

Some people will dress up as early as dinner -- most will wait until the party.

Prizes are given out.

Not everyone who attends the party will dress up.

On the Noordam last year, there was a party in the Crow's nest. About 30-40 people in costumes. Prizes were given. A lot of fun. Some dressed in costumes at dinner, most waited until the party.
PS we won third prize!
