How long is the cruise? And is the VH price the best you could find? I would definitely pay an extra 100 for a SZ guarantee for my next cruise...

just be prepared--the SZ/SY/SS staterooms are sooooo wonderful they will become a habit for future cruises... :)

In other words, IMHO, they are VERY worth it!

YES! much more room than VH. Bigger cabin, bathroom and verandah.

Its worth the money. With a VH guarentee you could end up with a VH or a VF with a steel balcony rather than plexiglass. With a SZ guarentee you get a suite, with the possibility of getting a SA - SB or SC. You definitely should end up with at least an SY or a SS. Its a much larger room and you will enjoy it. Take it !!

Before you jump at the SZ guarantee, think about this. If all the disabled/handicapped accessible cabins in categories SZ and above are not booked, then you could, with the SZ guarantee, end up with a handicap-accessible cabin. If the different floorplans, lack of the whirlpool tub and a walk-in shower only, in the handicap accesssible cabins is not a consideration for you, then go for it. For me, those factors were a dealer breaker, and I opted for the more expensive SY (but assured of what I was getting). Just letting you know what may happen.

Its definitely worth it!!!! About 2 months before my Jan 09 zuiderdam 10 nite cruise I paid $200 pp to upgrade from a VD guarantee to a SZ guarantee...Got a mid 6th deck Sy cabin. Wonderful cabin...large spacious room, balcony and bathroom. My husband now only wants this cabin class or above
