View Full Version : Zaandam 12/4 Sailing Questions

Looking forward to our first ever cruise this Saturday 12/4 on the Zaandam. We are in suite 7005 and have a few questions.

1. How soon does HAL return laundry?
2. Any recommendations on a limo/towncar service from Orlando to Port Canaveral?
3. Does the fitness center have elliptical trainers or stairmasters?
4. Now that Grand Cayman is back on the cruise, should we just catch the Capt. Mervin's boat to the stingrays in port or do you make advance reservations?
5. I assume that we will now have shorter stay in Cozumel, since this is the case is it possible to go to Tulum?

Thanks in advance. I greatly appreciate all the posts here and have read quite a few to gain an understanding of the ship and HAL. We seem better informed than our TA.

Laundry should be back in your suite within 24 hours - baring any problems down in the laundry room. Never had a problem on any ship till we got to the Statendam and the presser broke down.

There are stairmasters but can't remember if she has elliptical trainers.

Most people book Captain's Marvin Stingray City before they go on their cruises.

You should be able to get to Tulum - take the ships tour - then you know you won't have to worry about getting back to the ship on time - the ship will wait for their own tours.

Agent Maxwell. Are you SURE we're going to Grand Cayman? I was told No by Holland America with almost 100% certainty.

In another thread there was mention of the Grand Cayman being added back to the Zaandam 12/4 western Caribbean cruise. I went to http://www.caymanport.com/ and saw that the Zaandam is due on on 12/7. I assume that the GC Port Authority would have the most current information. I don't know if our itinerary is totally back to the original or not. I will be curious to see if we stop at Ochos Rios or Montego Bay.
