Thanks again, so much, Lisa for keeping us updated as to where our favorite ships are. I just checked out the Amsterdam in Seattle, knowing that lots of friends are eagerly awaiting boarding time so they can get the Grand Australia/New Zealand cruise underway.
Next time I see that gorgeous ship will be in Los Angeles on Wednesday and I will be one of those eagerly waiting to get our cruise underway.
Hope all is well with you and Tom and Andy and that you are enjoying your new job.
Love,
Valerie:)

Changes: You are so right Lisa: The Amsterdam starts a grand voyage today that does not include Alaska. The Volendam is on her way to far away places with strange sounding names (Strange to a guy who was bread and buttered on the old West Side of Chicago) and the Zuiderdam sets sail for Ft. Lauderdale today, the Ryndam on her way south and the Westerdam, Statendam and Veendam finishing up their final journey's to Alaska before heading off to other ports. To all I say" Bon Voyage"

The way I'm looking at it is .... when the Maasdam leaves Montreal this afternoon, she is on her way to pick up me and DH in Boston!! :D
Can hardly wait. Starting getting some clothing into the suitcases today.

Well the Amsterdam made her final call of the season in Victoria yesterday. Gave a gentle horn hoot a little before midnite & slipped into the darkness. Over the next few days, there will be 6 HAL ships calling in Victoria. The usual Alaska line-up plus a few others as they reposition. We're most excited to see the Veendam again for a first-hand look at her post-retrofit aft.

Lisa, I'm excited to see the Rotterdam is leaving Barcelona today on her way to Athens to pick up my family and me on Saturday next week. Mmm, the excitement just keeps on building!
Smooth Sailing! :):):)

It's a sad day in Vancouver -- the Zuiderdam will be leaving our city tonight for Florida - :( - she's the only ship at Canada Place today.
And tomorrow (I believe) we will have three HAL ships in and that's it for the season. - :( :( :(

My goodness, but that came up fast. Too fast, as far as I'm concerned---I'm not at all ready to get on when you get off.
Someone has to get her sweet self in gear.

Lisa:
You do I am most grateful for the Thread. Up until about 10 years ago, HAL used list a section in the daily Bulletin which was titled: "Where's the Fleet?" You have carried on this tradition so beautifully. By the way isn't the Zaandam doing a run to Alaska right now and she will be the Last HAL ship in Alaska for the season!

Thanks :) Very True about the Zaandam. I do not remember any HAL ship in several years being this late still in Alaska.

By the way isn't the Zaandam doing a run to Alaska right now and she will be the Last HAL ship in Alaska for the season! I think you're right Himself. Zaandam has called on Victoria every Thursday during her weekly Alaska season. Her last regular call is scheduled for this Thursday Oct 1/09.
But Zaandam will call on Victoria twice again on Saturday Oct 3/09 and Mon Oct 5/09 before departing for warmer climes.
The very last cruise ship to call on Victoria for this Alaska season will be Celebrity Mercury on Wednesday Oct 14/09.

Thank you for the updates. I have been following the Westerdam as I will be cruising on her next month.
