show the skeleton of a ship with the outside built & now the inside iwth staterooms being slid in and the electric & plumbing being connected. Then the designers get in with carpet, wallpaper, pain & the furniture then arrives. 2200 to be done so that will be few months. Then the restaurants, bars, entertainment areas including the pools & waterslides. So I expect Dan or someone else to take photos when they take their sail with the workers & families checking for leaks or anything not perfect. I am guessing February to do that. They will have crew that is showimng to lear their jobs & they get the test with the workers sailing for a week. By the time it leaves for the UK and other ports on it way there this ship will be perfect and ready for all of us to be innagural cruisers during its first year.
This is a new breed of ship for NCL, so our views are very important to the Execs. Future builds will show what we want and better ways of getting it. Right now not too much is known since it is noot done being built to answer the questions since many changes are happening from the first issued photos. THe SPA BALCONIES were the first change making those folk very special. I am very happy to be one of the 39 units getting spa access all day & night. Apollo bought Jacuzzi so I expect the best of the breed. Apollo has 100% ownership of Oceana & Regent 7 Seas & still only 51% of NCL so that should be 100% when Epic makes millions.

I'm booked on the transatlantic and can't wait to see everything first hand. I bet there will be a couple of "Live From EPIC" threads on that cruise....

I'll be on the TA and will definitely be bringing my camera with full intention to share! ;)
It is so hard not being able to find out what to expect in advance, especially with the Epic being such a new design!

I can't find it at the moment, but I'm virtually certain I recently read that NCL has not yet decided about the access hours to the spa...which says to me that 24 hour access for the spa suite and balcony cabins was not a done deal.
PS...just found it...in post #15 in this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1041944 .

I am sure we will get real pictures as the ship reaches completion. In any case I have my 16 GB card ready to pack for the Epic transatlantic. Friends in AC and I am in the courtyard so we should have all your pictures covered.

Oh, those will be covered (see t2c1's post). But I have proposed a cabin crawl on our roll call. I'm interested in seeing all of the cabins (and taking pics where allowed)!

I'm booked on Epic in December and I cannot wait to get a glimpse at the ship and all the fun that we have to look forward to.
Plus, I want to hear people's reviews of the shows. Hopefully whatever ticket/reservation system they come up with works. I would hate to miss out on any of the entertainment -- especially Cirque or Blue Man!

We should get some new pictures of the inside of the Epic in the next couple of weeks. The first sea trials are planned for the 12th so somebody has to be bringing a camera.:)

I can't wait for the first cruise to see the pics and reviews, if for no other reason than to verify or dispel the myths and rumors (e.g. Spa Suite perks, see through showers, etc.).
And I can't wait to verify it all for myself! :)

Both wrong - neither of those is a wave cabin - I think the photo was distorted to get everything in.

Any admins read this topic? I'd love to see a sticky in Everything Epic for questions that can only be answered by being on board! Then perhaps as people sail they can go through the sticky and answer our questions??

Thanks for the pic! The "wave" looks far wavier than I expected lol. Does look kinda narrow in *that* picture though.

[COLOR=black] wrong - This actually is a wave cabin. The bed sits at a approx. 45 degree angle

That is what I said - the wrong refered to the studio or inside guess since this is a wave cabin.
Also you need to fix your signature and stack your count down clocks so your posts don't create wide pages.
Keep in mind the beds in the wave balconies are not on a 45 degree angle.

I'm booked on the 9/11 cruise too...and I'm counting down the days. It seems like so far away when you say we still have 211 days to go. :( So I like to say we have 7 months instead! :D The first people to go on the cruise will have their work cut out for them answering our 50 million questions and request for pictures. Poor guys. ;)

Ooooh! How exciting!!
I just got all of our periphery arrangements booked this week, including our accommodations for before and after park visits in Orlando, and now I find I'm waiting for TWO sets of reviews - for the Epic and the new Harry Potter world at Universal. I can't wait to enjoy all that Epic has to offer and then finish up my Christmas holiday in the wintery village of Hogsmeade!!
Now I just need to be patient while I wait for the gates to open on both of them!! :p

I'm excited too. Just mapped-out our plans. Haven't booked them all yet, but we're flying to Budapest for 2 days, then taking a Danube river cruise to Vienna, then flying to Heathrow and taking a coach to Southhampton.
NOW I'm excited by the trip! :)
