We are thinking of booking this round trip cruise whilst we are on Rotterdam in two weeks' time. Has anyone any thoughts on whether the autumn or spring would be better weather wise.

Thanks for your help.

:) We went last January on the Statendam, and it was a wonderful trip. We preferred winter to get away from the cold. As far as spring or fall is concerned, it probably makes no difference. Peru coast is pretty warm and very arid. When we were in Calleo a tour guide mentioned that it hadn't rained a drop in several years. Many of the houses there don't even have roofs

I lived in Lima for some years. Although it almost never rains, it mists a lot in the June, July timeframe. In November, December, January it is usually sunny and warm in the 70's. ----Penny

I did this cruise except for I left from Fort Lauderdale. It was really amazing. In Lima there is a shorex offered by HAL to have dinner in a mansion. It was the best shorex I've ever been on and something I'll always remember. If you get a chance to do it I highly recommend it. I didn't expect to like Lima that much but I loved it.
