Trying to decide if I want to go on The Epic or keep to a smaller ship, but some of the posts here are getting me confused. I want to be honest, I'm not attacking anyone BUT there seems to be someone giving a lot of misinformation almost to the point where I think they are making it up as they go along. I try to research here & on other boards but not even NCLhas the same information. If you want to be helpful to others If you don't know what you're talking about don't post. And PLEASE don't make up information just to increase your posts. Now I'll get off my soap box.

If you do not mind me asking, what misinformation are you reading? I think a majority of the information concerning the EPIC threads are people's speculations and opinions. Seeing how the ship is still being built and has not sailed yet, the only thing at this point we can rely on is what is published by NCL. Everything else is what people are speculating. Until the first reviews or NCL publishes new information, it's more or less a guessing game.

Most of the info is guess work, I know. But there is some info that is being told as if the person has the inside information. I don't mind the guessing thats exciting but when you tell me one of the crew told you A and NCL says B who do I believe.

It is simple on the Internet throw out the top 10%,the bottom 10%, and reality is somewhere in the middle. It is easy overtime to decide which posters on CC are credible and which are incredible.

That's so true. There are some people that have been here for awhile that really are fonts of information (true info, I mean!). I havern't been around much but I'm wonderinging if Shore Guy is still around? He was awesome, he knew so much.

Can't wait for the first cruises to hear the real facts about Epic.

Hi, from what I have read on the boards about Epic and speculation, it seems some of them know some of the people that work for NCL and email them and get info that way, which is great, but not necessarily correct all the time. Seems like everything is subject to change as of now.:)

Funny you should mention "Shoreguy". I don't know who he is, but many people seem to like and ask about him on a couple of threads and cruises I go on. I know he used to post here on the boards, but doesn't any longer. Almost every meet and greet I attend someone asks, "What ever happened to Shoreguy?" He must have been a wealth of info, and loved by many.

It seems that we may have benefited if this guy was still around to help us with all this info we are needing with the EPIC.

Except that he wouldn't have any more info than most of us, because the ship isn't yet built, and decisions haven't yet been made.

He's still around, just not on Cruise Critic.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see him on the TA. ;)
