And as one of the comedians said: " Venner means intelligent, diligent, and competent."
And Jason means " Not very."

Back in July I was on the Oosterdam with Jason Venner. I really liked this guy and his staff. They were very nice compared to the social staff on the other HAL ships on which I have sailed. Or should I say they were comparably intelligent, diligent, and competent.

Hi! I really liked him too-sweetie! I actually met quite a few of the workers on this ship and actually a lot of Canadians which was good to see some of them from my home area! Well if anyone ever comes across his email let me know-I'd love to send them these pictures!
Thanks

Why don't you list your e-mail address and then if anyone is going to the Westerdam, they can give Jason your address and he can e-mail you. I really don't think they want their e-mail addresses listed on the internet or this web site.

Laine Reno is the coordinator for the Westerdam. If you email her at lreno@hollandamerica.com, she can pass on your message to Jason Venner.

Hey there. Your right I wouldn't want me email address posted on this thing either. Well all of their (HAL Employees) email addresses seem to end in HollandAmerica.com so I did try that but it came back to me. Thanks Charliesmom I may try the email address that you listed, but don't know if I want to look that hard trying to find it-it's not overally important I just told him I would email a few pictures so I'm sure to him it wouldn't be a big deal to him if he got them or not.

I'll be on the Westerdam this Sunday. If you like I can ask him for an email address and tell him you need it because of the pictures.

We were on the Westerdam for the trans-Atlantic crossing & think that Jason Venner & his staff were the best we've ever seen...His department was short staffed due to illness etc, but it never showed in their work or attitude..They always had smiles on their faces & in their voices (with many corny old jokes that we've heard before , but still laugh at) ..It was obvious that these kids all got along well and worked hard together...The last day (Boo Hoo) Jason introduced many of the crew members (twenty something different nationalities)...They toasted & sang to the passengers & it brought tears to many eyes (including mine)..They were a delightful group of young folks! We usually travel on smaller ships & I wasn't thrilled about it's size when we booked the Westerdam, but we never felt crowded...One exception was the upper dining room at the 8: p.m. seating..Our table was crowded in the back with no space for the waiters to get around it..Many late diners wanted the 8:00 p.m. searting...Fortunately, we were able to switch to the 8:30 seating & had a great table & dining stewards..The showroom is much better laid out than the smaller HAL ships & the shows were top notch..The Westerdam is a beautiful ship, and we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise..
