I know nothing about this TA and offer of "free" hotel rooms, but this is just the sort of thing that sets bells ringing for me. In such a competitive business as travel, virtually nothing is "free". This is the sort of come-on that merits checking all the fine print and comparing their cruise fare with the cruise line itself and several other TAs. You can be assured that if the hotel rooms are "free" then they are making up the difference somehow. Also, you should find out what hotels are involved and where they are located; SanDiego is a large city with hotels all over - many of which would be inconvenient to downtown and the cruise terminal. Buyer Beware!!!

No such thing as a free hotel room.
Someone has to pay for it and since you are paying the whole bill you are paying for it somewhere in your payments....

We got caught in a deal like that once. We checked into the "big name hotel" all excited about our trip. The desk clerk gave us our room key to the DUMP and SCAREY hotel next door! This hotel was GOING to be renovated and added to this hotel. We offerred to pay the additio[nal price to be put in the good hotel. We were told "no can do!" The rooms in the DUMP were sold to this discounter and we could not move out of there. We ended up moving out and getting a REAL hotel the next day. Remember, "There are no free meals!"Be careful!
