Anybody have trouble signing in to their account on HAL website? Have tried for the last couple of days with no luck. Can navigate all other areas but sign in. Thanks.

No signin problems as late as a half hour ago.

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies.
I have not had any issues over the past several days.

I've been having problems since Friday. I get a message that it's currently unavailable, please check back shortly. Maybe the problem is selective?

I have also been having this problem for the past week. I sent an email to the HAL webmaster and they replied that they were unaware of any problems with their system. I tried to logon using two different computers with the same result. On another note, last Thursday I received an email thanking me for sailing on my recent cruise and offering me a onboard credit for a future cruise. The link takes me to an error message that says try again later and redirects me to the HAL home page. I have already tried the solutions suggested by K&RCurt to no avail. Perhaps if others email HAL they might take a closer look at this.

My Account opened quickly but alas my cabin has not been assigned yet. Less than 2 weeks to sail, no worries.;)

I called HAL today about an unrelated computer issue, the fact that last night all the cabins on my cruise were reading "guarantee" only when attempting to book. Today from my work pc, I was able to look at all the cabins and not just book a "guarantee." They informed me that occasionally their computer program "polaris" or something, occassionally might have a bug in the program or something.
I have noticed however, that from one of my computers at home, I can only book "best cabin available," while from the other 2 computers, I can book any cabin that I like.
I dunno if any of this info was useful or not, basically the point is that it is probably their program.

I am still struggling with the HAL website. I can't get into My Account, I can't pull up future bookings, I can't book Shorex. I've been emailing with technical support, and they tell me I have to re-register - using the same info as previously so all my info is pulled in. Tried that and get a message that my user ID is already taken.
Is anyone else having these kinds of problems? It doesn't feel like they are taking my complaints very seriously.

The site is saying unavailable. Lets me log in but all of my cruise days are gone. It's a real pain. I have emailed the issue to HAL but no response.

I just tried and have no problems. In fact I see that I have to get another 16 days before I make 2nd star status:(
Total Cruise Day credits: 14
Total Cruise Day credits needed to next Star level: 16
Oh well, means we have to wait till 2011 to get it sice we will only have earned 14 sailing days by the 21st of February 2010, unless (a) they've not yet counted our Shore Excursions we've purchased and (b) we do actually buy something on board the ship....

That's exactly what's happening to me. I guess all we can do is keep emailing them and hope they realize it's something that needs to be fixed. Scary when things don't work there, since it's now the only way to get checked in.

I just logged into my account - no problems and all my info is there. Maybe the problem is your browser. As someone already suggested, clear the cache and also make sure the "cookies" are turned on.

Thanks, Connie - but I did all that. I even tried to log in from two other computers. Same problems. I guess I'm a little panicky because I can't access my booked cruise, which I know is sold out. Time to get on the telephone I think.
I just thought I'd try to find out if it's a common problem or not.

Only a guess, but you might try to re-register, use the correct e-mail, but change the password. This may or may not reset your account. Have you deleted "cookies and history" on your computer? You may also try a different web browser, not all browsers work well with certain web sites. If you have updated your computer recently or changed a virus program that could also cause an issue. Since none of the rest of us are having trouble my best guess is this is not a HAl problem but a computer issue at your end.
Good Luck, do you have access to a different computer? Perhaps at a library or a friends house?

At login site, right click mouse and click open. Brought up the sign in for me and I was able to get into my account.

I did try all that, including the 3 different computers we have here at home - all except trying another browser. Now I've tried that too. I just can't imagine what my problem is. Telephone time ... but thanks for trying to help.

Nope, same error messages. I'll get on the phone with them now. Nothing else to do, I guess - but thanks for the idea.

A very nice HAL rep by the name of Mary answered the phone when I called. She verified that it was impossible to access my account - to see either my reservations or my history. Whew - I thought I was losing it there. She kindly agreed to report it directly to tech support. I'm just so glad to know I wasn't being stupid or something. I do have days like that. Thanks for all your ideas here though! :)

I had always done our HAL things through my account on the HAL site.
Yesterday I tried to register my DH using a separate e-mail address for him. All went well until it asked for me to confirm his birthday. I entered his correct birthday and it said that was error -wrong date.
I called and a really nice lady was able to get his account registered for me while I stayed on the phone.
(Of course, I had the right date and their records matched the correct date so we couldn't figure out why it kicked it out but, hopefully, it is all set now.)
Happily found they had the correct number of days for both of us.

Ran into the same problem, I was able to log in to my account but other than my name, the file was empty.I also phoned web mail assistance and was told they are having problems as they switch all mariners over to the new program. It was suggested it may take a few days to correct.
