Internet in the room on HAL?

Hi there - a good friend of mine is cruising Statendam and Amsterdam later this year. He wants to take his laptop for a journal, etc. Is there internet access in the room? Any extra hardware required? What are the rates? I'm a computer guy, so I would appreciate technical information - Thanks!

We were just on the Statendam a few weeks ago (neither Statendam or Amsterdam have internet connections in the staterooms.

Fees:
250 minutes - $100
100 minutes - $55
Or $0.75 a minute

There is also a $3.95 activation fee.

Wireless rental cards:
$10 a day and a $3 a day optional insurance
