Lasy year I went on a Panama Canal cruise (Rotterdam) where they served great "Panama" rolls and coffee on all outside decks while cruising the locks.

Questions: Do they have a similar item, and maybe coffee/hot cocoa or any other goodies on deck while cruising the inside passage?

Thanks!

We never stood out on the decks but I believe they serve hot chocolate and coffee. Either too cold or too rainy to stand out there and we went the last week of August. Best place is the Crow's Nest when weather is not good or we just sat on our verandah.

We did have a Seafood BBQ lunch when we were in Glacier Bay and it was delicious.

They also serve pea soup on the bow of the ship, and I also saw them selling "spiked" hot chocolate and coffee.

HAL ships do serve hot chocolate, but the best "perk" is the on board Naturalist who gives regularly scheduled lectures. He roams the forward decks while glacier cruising providing a continuing commentary and conversation.
When entering Glacier Bay, National Park Rangers board the ship to provide their commentary. They also set up shop selling souvenirs and stamping passports. Great fun.

Hot chocolate and hot, spiced cider were served on deck! Temperature was in the mid 50's...

I remember getting "Glacier Baileys" -- hot chocolate with Baileys topped with whipped cream on the Lido deck by the outdoor pool on Zaandam. They were serving split pea soup as well. Coffee, plain hot chocolate & tea were also readily available.

It was a bit rainy in Glacier Bay on Amsterdam in September - so we hung out in the Crow's Nest and drank Hot Chocolate w/ Grand Marnier and had the Dutch Split Pea soup - yum!!!

I realize that it can be bright and sunny and even hot, but the OP is going in September and the weather will not be as nice as it is in the summer months. Our first trip in June of '88 it was cool and rainy. You never know what the weather will be like in Alaska. This year they had the best summer they have ever had. It's like a crap shoot - you never know what you are going to get.

I forgot about the pea soup - maybe because I don't like it so didn't have it. :)
